Antonina Shevchenko

Antonina is a Kyrgyzstani-Peruvian Muay thai fighter, mixed martial artist, and competing in the UFC flyweight division. She is the younger sister of the fellow UFC fighter and former UFC Flyweight champion Valentina Shevchenko. Antonina Shevchenko's combat sport career started out as a Muay Thai fighter. Shevchenko debuted on the IFMA World Championship Tournament in 2003. Shevchenko took the title and then defeated Suzane Mller in a unanimous decision. Antonina was able to continue her professional career after getting bronze and silver medal in 2008 and 2007 respectively, a Gold medal in 2011, along with the title of 2015 IFMA amateur Muay Thai world champion. Antonia was first introduced to the professional world in at the age of 2003. She was the winner of the World K-1 Championships of WKC Light Welterweight in 2012 as well as the Lion Fight Lightweight World Championships 2016, and the WMC World Championships as well as the Phoenix FC World Championships 2016. Antonina's final fight took place at the Phoenix Fighting Championship against Isa Tidblad Keskikangas. She was victorious by unanimous decision. Antonina shevchenko won her debut professional MMA fight in 2002 against Anara bayanova, who was fighting at the KFK Cup of Kyrgystan. She took the fight by TKO after round 2 and the two subsequent matches were held in WXF X-Impact World Championships. Shevchenko took a short absence from MMA and focused on her boxing. Shevchenko made her comeback in 2017 against Anissa Diddaoui. Shevchenko won Anissa Haddaoui with the unanimous verdict. She later defeated Valerie Domergue, at Phoenix FC 4 in an unanimous vote. In 2018, she resigned from the competition and began competing in Dana White's Contender Series. Shevchenko faced Jaimelene Nievera in Dana White's Tuesday Night Contender Series 11, Antonina's formidable strike abilities allowed her to TKO Nievera via knees in the body. After this win, Antonina received a UFC contract. Antonina received a UFC contract following her win. Shevchenko beat Roxanne Modafferi in a split-decision fight after winning the first bout by a unanimous decision. Antonina recovered from her loss and defeated Lucie Pudilova in the UFC on ESPN Covington vs. Lawler via second-round rear-naked choke, and was awarded the fight of the night reward in the fight. Shevchenko lost 1-2 over the next three fights she lost to Ariane Lipski and falling to Katlyn Chookagian and Andrea Lee. Then, Antonina was defeated by Casey O'Neill at UFC Fight Night Santos vs. Walker via second-round TKO.
